Gunda-Punda visits Rejected Expo 2018

Gunda-Punda, the first comic series of Laugh Later, has been showcased at Rejected Expo 2018, an unconventional expo by Thinkdemy. The creator of this comic series, Shanil Chaudhury said, “Gunda-Punda is about two friends who ended up being together purely because of the linguistic finesse of Bangla Language. It’s a bilingual comic series, published on our Facebook page – If things work out for us, we will probably create a printed version of it.”

Onindo Ahmed, the co-creator of Gunda-Punda said, “Gunda-Punda is so different than the other comics. It reflects Dhaka’s socio-cultural condition in a unique manner. I love working on Gunda-Punda and I think it has the potential to become a part of our pop-culture.”

Samin Farhan, the cartoonist of Gunda-Punda said, “It’s an exciting project, I love drawing Gunda-Punda and I’m really happy to have all the support and positive responses on this out-of-the-box comic series.”

According to Thinkdemy, Gunda-Punda installation received a lot of positive responses from the audience and the expo judges. Prominent Cartoonist Syed Rashad Imam Tanmoy and cartoonist duo Manik-Ratan was present at the expo and they highly regarded the installation.

The expo was held on October, 12 and 13, 2018 at Drik Gallery, Dhanmondi.
